Ignore Them ~ Jean x Reader [Attack on Titan AU]

Jean and you walked hand in hand down the school hallway. You ignored the strange looks people gave you. Jean was well known for professing his love to Mikasa, a girl in your class. They were surprised he had seemed to have given up on her.

“Jean, I’d better get to class.” You whispered to him.

Jean frowned but nodded. He kissed your forehead and walked away. You were in a trance. Suddenly someone shook you. You quickly shook your head and saw your friend Sasha and her boyfriend, Connie.

“Are you alright, [Name]? You were really spaced out there..” Sasha said with concern in her eyes.

“Ah, yeah, I have to go now…” You mumbled.

You turned around and walked off to your next class. When you opened door you could hear your name being whispered. I pretended like you couldn’t hear them and took your seat. You spent most of your class daydreaming and when the bell finally rang you walked out without a second thought. The minute you turned the corner to get to your locker you almost collided with someone. You merely stepped out of their way and gave a nod in apology.  You wanted to finish school as soon as possible so you could see Jean more.


The rest of school was a breeze and flew by. You rushed to your locker to get the books you needed for homework. As you were entering your combination, you felt a hand grasp your shoulder. You froze and began to slowly turn around. You let you a sigh of relief once you saw who it was.

“Well [Name], ready to go?” Jean smiled.

You nodded and began to drag him out of school. You slowed down as you heard more people talking and a scowl made its way onto your face. You were tired of it. Can’t they just leave you and Jean alone?!

“Ignore them..What do they know?” Jean whispered in your ear.


You gave him a slight smile and did just that.
